Take your talent to a professional stage.

Platform gives talented young performers the opportunity to experience the excitement of a professionally produced live show.

Finalists perform in The Kind Foundation’s Black Box Theatre, with an experienced technical crew providing professional sound, lighting and production support. From sound check through to the live final, our team helps each act feel prepared, confident and ready to give their best performance.

It is an opportunity to grow your performance experience, share your talent with a live audience and compete for a share of $4,500 in cash prizes, with the winner taking home $2,500.

Auditions are open

Your audition could take you all the way to the live final.
If you are aged 13 to 21 and have a talent for music or movement, we want to see what you can do. Submit your audition video for the chance to perform at the Platform live final in The Kind Foundation’s Black Box Theatre. Selected finalists will take part in a professionally produced show, supported by an experienced technical crew and judged by respected people from the performing arts sector.

Applications are now open, and close Monday 19 October 2026.  If your audition makes it through to the live final, you must be available for a sound check through the day (between 10am-4pm), as well as the evening performance (which starts at 7pm) on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Please complete the application form if you are able to meet this commitment, and we’ll let you know by Monday 26 October 2026 whether you have been selected as a finalist.

    Aotearoa Youth Aerial Championship winner, World Buskers Festival performer and co-creator of an original contemporary circus production.
