A place for community recreation activities and learning

The Bishopdale Recreation Centre is a large facility located in the Bishopdale Village Mall complex, with lots of free parking available right outside the doors.

Not only home to Elevate Fitness Bishopdale and the Pūmanawa Early Learning Centre Bishopdale, the large stadium also hosts The Kind Foundation’s recreation term programmes for children, as well as many sports comps and large events.

We also have squash courts available for casual use too.

Elevate Fitness

Elevate Fitness is conveniently located in the Bishopdale Recreation Centre offering a range of varied programmes and classes for all ages, stages and abilities.

The gym is equipped with a range of cardio machines, fixed resistance machines and free weights

Group exercise classes in our purpose-built Exercise Studio or carpeted Mind & Body room

A dedicated air-conditioned Spin Studio

A separate Circuit room equipped and set up for scheduled circuit classes

Lockers are located in the changing rooms and are free for members to use

Free on-site car parking

Pūmanawa Early Learning Centre

Pūmanawa ELC is located in our Bishopdale Recreation Centre.

Learning, community, aroha. With engaging resources, thoughtful classroom layouts, connection to our outdoor area, and a dedicated staff team, Pūmanawa is the perfect place for your tamariki to explore their talents and gifts as they prepare for school.

We offer some exciting After School Recreation programmes where participants can have fun and learn new skills.

Our Spaces for Hire

Here at the Bishopdale Recreation Centre, our large stadium space offers 1260sqm of sprung wooden flooring, with bleachers that provide seating for up to 500 people.

Main Stadium – Indoor Sports

Available for hire all year round, our stadium can cater for a variety of different sports.

Set up is required by the hiring participants, volleyball/badminton/pickleball nets are available on request.

Additionally, on request, we can provide a glass window office located on the stadium floor, as well as two electronic scoreboards and a sound system with PA.

Drop in to shoot casual hoops during off-peak times for $9 per person. You cannot book these sessions, drop in only and subject to availability.

This versatile space offers natural light looking out onto Bishopdale Park, and can be used for meetings/conferences/corporate training, pilates and yoga, church and youth groups, and small events.
