For 135 years, our organisation has provided quality community programmes and services in schools and communities throughout Aotearoa. We invite you to help us to continue our work by supporting our fundraising efforts. Any donation is greatly appreciated. If you or your company would like to support us in another way, please have a look at our other kind opportunities.

Champion the Kind Foundation’s Programmes & Services
We can offer your staff a socially responsible, high quality option over other commercial options. If you trade with The Kind Foundation, all profits are directed back into the community and our cause of ‘investing in the next generation.’
Talk to us about how The Kind Foundation can create awesome options for your staff, clients or other stakeholders – gym membership, bespoke exercise programmes, holiday programmes for children, leadership development for young people, corporate team building, accommodation or retreats and so on! Contact us to discuss the many things the The Kind Foundation can do to make a difference to the health, wellbeing, engagement and motivation of your people.

Subsidise a School Camp
Susbsidise a low-decile school to attend a camp at either Wainui Park or Arthur’s Pass Outdoor Education Centre.
The Kind Foundation offers outdoor experiences and camps to tens of thousands of children every year, most of them coming to us for their ‘school camp’ experience.
The Kind Foundation aims to ensure that all schools can access school camp experiences – however, for many schools the cost to attend or do the more adventurous activities can be prohibitive. We provide subsidised and even ‘free’ camps for low-decile schools thanks to generous donations from individuals and businesses. On average the cost to The Kind Foundation of delivering a safe, educational and FUN school camp is $180 per child (excluding transport).
If you or your company would like to sponsor a school camp we will ensure the funds are spent on reducing costs for those schools who are decile 3 or below. If you want to nominate a particular school in Canterbury for your support to go towards, you can do that too. Contact us if you would like to make a contribution.

Support our Recreation Programmes
The Kind Foundation offers a wide range of recreational and educational programmes for children and young people.
All of these programmes are heavily subsidised by The Kind Foundation. Any donaton towards any of our recreational programmes helps The Kind Foundation resource these programmes better, so we can deliver great experiences for our participants at low cost.
Basketball, Gymnastics & Dance
After school recreational term programmes run at the Bishopdale Recreation Centre. Gymnastics caters for preschoolers through to 10 years, basketball offers skills programmes for 5-16 year old, and our Hip Hop dance caters for 5-8 year olds.
Climbing & Archery
After school recreation term programmes run at the Adventure Centre. Several different climbing programmes are offered at Clip ‘n Climb and on the main climbing wall, as well as archery in our Alpine Lodge room.

Supply Professional Services
It is always great to have an offer of reduced costs or free services from businesses, that we would otherwise have to pay for.
Every dollar we don’t spend on professional services is a dollar we can instead spend on supporting the community we all share. We are also keen to hear from anyone in relation to service in the capacity of advice or governance. Contact us if you would like to discuss further.

Help Maintain Our Equipment
If you would like to contribute some funds towards something quite specific to your area of interest, then there are no shortage of options.
Our equipment bill each year is in the hundreds of thousands – and range from gym equipment, to climbing and outdoor equipment, to vehicles and more.
From as little as $20 for a basketball, to $800 for a kayak, to $5,000 for climbing holds, to $15,000 for a piece of gym euipmentm to $30,000 for a van – there are many options. Contact us if you would like to make a contribution.

Contribute towards our Operational/Maintenance Costs
Boring old operational and maintenance costs are the hardest thing to raise funds for and yet they can add up.
In particular for our camp facilities, we always have a long list on the go of things we would like to improve or enhance “when we have the money”.
Significant donations or contributions are always acknowledged in the buildings/facilities in question. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further.
