We are committed to ongoing professional learning and support for all kaiako. We employ and support qualified kaiako and kaiako in training to ensure the best learning outcomes and care for our tamariki. Kaiako are seen as role models who know each tamaiti well and therefore have the ability to empower all tamariki.

Early learning in the heart of the city

Our newly opened purpose-built early learning centre in Papa Hou (central Christchurch) puts our children, parents and whānau first as we strive to provide a welcoming, supportive and loving environment for all. We offer high teacher to child ratios of 1:3 in our nursery and 1:8 in our preschool with an experienced and passionate team of early childhood teachers.

We offer longer hours and flexible days, that enable parents working shifts in the central city to benefit from our facilities. We are licensed for up to 55 children. Our children are empowered to take risks, explore and develop their sense of belonging while making use of our spacious facility.

We are excited to have the opportunity to welcome you and your whānau into our community. Together, we can create a caring and quality learning environment which will support your child to succeed in a forever changing world.

Children OVER 3 years of age qualify for up to 20 FREE hours per week, $13 per hour thereafter.

Meals

Delicious meals are provided and prepared fresh daily in our onsite catering kitchen. There is a $10 food fee applicable per day for those only attending 20 hours or less a week.

Our sample menu is attached. This menu is updated by our in-house chef and details are provided to parents and displayed in the Centre.
