Fun in the sun at waikuku Beach
I have cherished memories of growing up at Waikuku Beach. Every Sunday, long weekend, and Christmas holiday was spent at our bach. Riding our bikes, playing in the forest, at the big park and little park, swimming and only coming home when we were hungry.

Every Barrier beach is stunning
Wherever you wander on Great Barrier Island you will want to stop. This beach, Medlands, is as beautiful under the night skies as under the sun. And we get to live here! But anyone can come for a holiday, our natural environment and our skies are for us all.

Pilgrimage Punakaiki to Blackball
A pilgrimage is to visit a place that is considered special, where you go to show your respect. The Paparoa Track Great Walk does have special memories to family and friends, where young 'Roll' was one of the 29 men in the Pike River Mine tragedy. On completing the track at Blackball, we planted a Kowhai Tree in his memory.

Favorite Holiday Spot
Kaiteriteri has become one of our favorite holiday spots, and each year, just before Christmas, we head there for a week of rest and relaxation. It is the golden sandy beach that define Kaiteriteri. The tranquil waters and stunning coastal views provide the perfect backdrop for unwinding from the year's hustle and bustle. We always have a trip into the Abel Tasman National Park. The parks beauty never fails to captivate us, with its lush forests, crystal-clear waters, and diverse wildlife. Kaiteriteris serene environment and the joy of spending quality time with friends make it the perfect getaway. Each visit is more memorable than the previous ones, making Kaiteriteri more than just a holiday destinationits a tradition that we look forward to every year.

Arrival in New Zealand
When I first arrived in New Zealand, I started my journey in Auckland. I was immediately struck by the natural beauty and vibrant culture that surrounded me. The lush green landscapes, the sparkling waters of the harbors, and the iconic skyline with the Sky Tower reaching towards the sky left me in awe. However, it was the people who truly made my arrival special. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The locals were incredibly helpful, offering directions and tips with genuine enthusiasm. The cultural diversity was another aspect that amazed me. The heritage and the blend of different cultures created a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The respect for nature, the strong sense of community, and the emphasis on hospitality gave me a sense of belonging. In those initial days, every interaction reinforced the feeling that I had arrived in a place where I could truly feel at home. The warmth and friendliness of the people of New Zealand made my transition smooth and filled me with gratitude. Originally, I came here on a working holiday and fast forward 15 years New Zealand has become my home.
