Experience camp!

Our school holiday camps are designed to be a place where children and young people can make friends, have fun, be adventurous and most importantly, go home with positive memories, happy stories and new skills.

Wainui Park is a large camp on the Banks Peninsula and has a wide range of activities both onsite and offsite, including kayaking, high ropes, coasteering, archery and much, much more.

Arthur’s Pass Outdoor Education Centre, set in the heart of this small alpine village, is a smaller lodge and uses the unique landscape for all of the camp activities.

WAINUI CAMP

7 – 11 April 2026

Our iconic 6 day Wai Camp is about meeting new friends, keeping busy on all our outdoor activities, experiencing independence and resilience, and discovering everyone’s own capabilities – all while having lots of fun!

PLEASE NOTE: due to Easter, Wai Camp in April is a 5-day camp.

SANDHOPPERS CAMP

Sandhoppers is a three day/two night introductory camp for 7–8 year olds, with a strong focus on social interaction.

The days at camp are jam-packed with traditional camp and adventure activities. These include a mixture of land, rope and water activities.

CAMPS AT ARTHUR’S PASS

GRASSHOPPERS

Grasshoppers is a three day/two night camp for 7–8 year olds, with a strong focus on social interaction.

The activities involve being in and exploring the landscape of this amazing alpine environment, including shelter building, orienteering and track walks.

Drop off at Bishopdale on Monday at 1:30am and pick up on Wednesday at Bishopdale at 3pm.

ALPINE ADVENTURE

Learn outdoor skills, environmental education and experience a first introduction to having an expedition during this 5 day camp. Activities may include hiking, river crossing techniques, shelter building and orienteering.

WETA WONDER
