Bring Your Baby classes
Unlike traditional fitness classes, Bring Your Baby allows parents to bring their little one along, removing one of the biggest barriers to exercise in those early months of parenthood. It creates an opportunity to rebuild strength and confidence, establish healthy routines and enjoy some much-needed time focused on personal wellbeing, all without needing to arrange childcare.
More than just exercise
Regular physical activity after pregnancy has been shown to improve strength, energy levels and overall fitness, while also supporting mental wellbeing by reducing stress, improving mood and helping combat feelings of isolation that many new parents experience. Just as importantly, exercising alongside other mums creates friendships, support networks and a sense of community that can make a real difference during those early months of parenthood.
Building confidence along the way
One of our participants, Holly, recently summed up the experience perfectly “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the mahi that you do with your Bring Your Baby classes. I have gotten so much out of them — from having a safe space to exercise with a very busy baby, to the routine of coming in every week and getting the confidence back around exercising. It’s truly been something I’ve enjoyed so much over the last several months.” Holly recently celebrated another milestone by completing a 10km event with her son Asher by her side — a reminder that every fitness journey starts with a single step, and that investing in your own wellbeing benefits the whole whānau.
