A variety of group classes are available for all fitness levels and ages.  Our classes are led by experienced instructors who are passionate about helping you achieve your goals.

Courses

Beginners Pilates

Term programme at Bishopdale

Pilates provides a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training, engaging the mind and conditioning the whole body.

Pilates works several muscle groups simultaneously through smooth, continuous motion with a particular focu on strengthening the core or “power house” (abdominal, back and pelvic areas).

This course introduces the fundamental of Pilates training and is a prerequisite to attending the Pilates intermediate classes (on the group fitness timetable).  First class is compulsory.

Runners Strength

Block Course at Papa Hou

This block course is run in our functional studio as a small group circuit style class that is targeted specifically for runners of all levels.

It has been designed to strengthen muscle groups to increase power and efficiency in your running and prevent injuries.

The course allows for class personalisation, connection and growth over the duration of the programme. During this 9 week course, we will target areas of fitness you may not normally pay attention to, like flexibility, balance, mobility and strength.

Conveniently scheduled to take you all the way to the Queenstown Marathon!

Specialised Sessions

Open Ballet at Papa Hou

Everyone is welcome to this class although prior experience is recommended.  Designed for those with an understanding of ballet.

 

Our teacher, Abigail Boyle, will help grow and refine your technique and conditioning.

 

Those who have been to this class before can purchase concessions through their GymMaster app.  Those attending for the first time can get signed sign up at Elevate Fitness Papa Hou reception, who will walk you through the process.

Bring Your Baby

Have you recently had a baby and are ready to get back into exercise and meet other mums/dads? We have some options for you!  Come along to one of our Bring Your Baby group exercise classes that run twice a week.

 

Yogalates

This fun and dynamic class combines elements of yaga and pilates to create a workout thats gentle yet effective. Perfect for new parents, this class allows you to bond with your baby while gaining strength. All levels welcome.

Functional Fitness

Join us for a high-intensity interval training class designed specifically for mums and dads who want to get fit and bond with their babies/toddlers. During this 60 min session you’ll complete a variety of strength and cardio exercises with your baby by your side.  We can modify to suit all fitness levels – get ready to sweat and have fun!
