After School Recreation
Have heaps of fun while learning new skills
We offer a range of exciting after school recreation programmes where participants can have fun learning new skills while increasing their confidence and developing their co-ordination, balance, movement and problem solving abilities.
Our Bishopdale Recreation Centre, located next to the Bishopdale Public Library, offers 9 week term programmes of basketball, gymnastics and dance.
The Adventure Centre in Sydenham runs various climbing programmes, as well as archery, on their 10 week programmes.

GYMNASTICS
PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS
This parent-and-child drop-in gymnastics session is a playful and engaging way to introduce pre-schoolers to a semi-structured programme. Children can explore, have fun, and challenge themselves at their own speed in a safe and inclusive environment.
With guidance from our gymnastics coach and support from parents, pre-schoolers will take part in a circuit-style programme. As they move through the equipment and activities, they’ll develop important skills such as listening, following instructions, taking turns and sharing with others.
This class will focus on gymnastics fundamental movements while having the opportunity to explore our gymnastics apparatuses.

Archery
Sign up for archery and learn the skills and techniques to get you on target!
The small group size means there is plenty of time spent letting arrows loose. Various games and archery related activities are played over the term. The programme is focused more on fun and teaching basic skills, rather than on competitive archery.
