This NOVEMBER – Festive Food. Festive Impact.
This November and December, when you choose to dine at Number Six Bar & Bistro, you are directly supporting our annual Carols by Candlelight event.
The Kind Foundation is committed to running this event for everyone in the community, but it relies solely on donations to support its efforts. The costs – from staging to sound – are covered by campaigns like this one.
When you eat at the Bistro this month, you are ensuring hundreds of families and visitors to Christchurch experience the joy of filling Victoria Square with music and Christmas spirit.
Come for the food. Support the Carols. Leave with a full heart.
OCTOBER is for our youth. Your dinner funds their future.
This October, your dining experience can create real opportunities for young people right here in Christchurch. By choosing to eat at our Pop-Up Bistro, you’re directly supporting the 4C Centre – a dedicated innovation hub where young minds flourish.
At the 4C Centre, we’re on a mission to empower the next generation. We provide free, 24/7 access to high-tech equipment and software, breaking down economic barriers and ensuring every young person has the chance to turn their ideas into reality. Here, members learn and grow, developing critical skills in creativity, communication, critical thinking and curiosity.
Every dollar you spend on a meal helps us keep our doors open and our resources available. You’re not just funding a space, you’re investing in a young person’s future, helping them build skills, create projects, and forge pathways to employment or self-employment.
Dine with purpose. Help a young person find theirs.
Dine at our Bistro in SEPTEMBER. Give a kid their first campfire story.
This September, every dish enjoyed with us helps us to deliver the wonderful experience of a school holiday residential camp to children across Canterbury. Through our school holiday camps, we create opportunities for kids to make friends, explore the outdoors, and build lasting memories – often experiencing their first campfire, first adventure and first sense of independence.
From the coastal excitement of Wainui Park to the alpine exploration at Arthur’s Pass, our camps offer a wide range of activities for all ages – kayaking, high ropes, hiking, shelter building, and more. Whether it’s a three-day introduction or a full six-day adventure, each camp is designed to foster resilience, connection and joy.
Your support helps make these experiences possible.
Dine in AUGUST. Help someone move better, live better.
Every meal you enjoy with us in August contributes to our Life Fit programme, empowering older adults in the Christchurch community to stay strong, independent and connected.
Life Fit offers a fantastic range of group classes to suit varying levels of fitness, perfect for mature participants or anyone new to exercise. More than just a fitness programme, it’s a vibrant community where like-minded adults can move their bodies together in a fun, safe, friendly and social environment. The programme fosters a sense of community, providing social opportunities for older adults to meet new people and build relationships which is vital for mental health, physical wellbeing and social sustainability.
We believe in making Life Fit accessible to everyone. That’s why The Kind Foundation subsidises these classes ensuring affordability for the community. We also ensure there are no sign-up fees or lock-in contracts, giving our members the flexibility to integrate the Life Fit programme seamlessly into their lives.
