Safety Management Plan

Policy Statement

The Kind Foundation is committed to:
• The ongoing dedication to an incident and accident free workplace, including no harm to people, no damage to equipment, the environment or property
• Complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and industry standards including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and related regulations including the Adventure Activities Regulations 2016
• Achieving and maintaining the Adventure Activities audit standard
• A culture of open reporting of all hazards, risks, accidents, incidents and near misses
• Supporting continuous professional development of staff
• Conducting regular audits of safety policies, procedures and practices
• Monitoring industry activity to ensure best safety practices are incorporated into the organisation

Introduction

The Kind Foundation Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual (PPPM) covers all paid staff, including full-time, part-time, casual and fixed contract staff. They also cover students on placement. Volunteers are covered by these policies to the extent outlined in 9 Volunteers.

The purpose of the PPPM is to inform and guide workplace behaviour, ensuring human resource matters can be handled consistently and equitably. They do not cover Health and Safety matters.

Policy Statement

The Kind Foundation values any feedback received and will address all complaints raised in a prompt and fair manner with the aim of achieving a mutually satisfactory conclusion and, where appropriate, take action to ensure the situation does not arise again.

When feedback or complaints are received, The Kind Foundation aims to:

This document details how The Kind Foundation CCTV systems are managed in such a way that: Safety and security are enhanced; the privacy rights of The Kind Foundation community; and the public are respected and applicable laws and policies are complied with.

In this policy, a safe and secure environment involves:
